Our Bell Ringing Group
Can you ring a Church bell? Of course you can with a little help. It takes about 4 months training to be “on your own” but the pleasures you have will be many.
We ring our peal of 8 bells Sunday mornings for the 10:00 am service.
We ring for weddings, funerals and special occasions and get paid for some.
We go on day outings and weekend outings to ring at other churches.
It also helps to keep us fit and healthy, good exercise.
For 400 years plus church bells have been ringing all over the world. Once you can ring and control a bell, where ever you go and you hear bells ringing you would be very welcome to join in.
So, why learn to ring?
- maintain a traditional skill
- a service to the church
- team activity...you make friends for life
- healthy light exercise … you don't need to be big and strong
- a hobby for the whole family … 9 - 90!
- lessons are free
- visit and ring in some amazing places
If you are interested to ‘have a go’ or just want to see what goes on, come up to the ringing chamber and meet us.
We practice Tuesday evenings 7:45 pm - 9:00 pm

For more information contact Peter Rossiter (Tower captain) Peter can be contacted on our Contact page.
There is also a sermon on bells available here.
