Bell Ringers’ Peal Boards

Shortly after Norman Gillibrand’s funeral, on Wednesday 23rd September 2015, the Bell ringers rang out a special peal called “Century Alliance Major”, consisting of 5100 changes and lasting 2 hours and 53 minutes. This Peal Board commemorates the event and will be proudly added to the Peal Boards in the Bell Tower.  

Bell Ringing HMQ Celebration

On Friday 10 June 2016, in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday, members of the “Society of Royal Cumberland Youths” rang out a peal of “Bristol Surprise Major”. The peal included 5,000 changes and lasted just over 2 ¾ hours. Included in this snippet of the peal is a bird joining in the celebration.
