Groups
There's always plenty to join in with...
Besides our Sunday and mid-week Services we run a wide and diverse schedule of social events throughout the year such as quiz nights, “feasts”, talks, summer BBQ, family picnics and day trips.
A week-end retreat is usually organised every other year for study, contemplation and fellowship.
Our vicar organises pilgrimages regularly, again aiming for every other year. In the past we have journeyed to a variety of places - The Holyland, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, Spain and Oberammergau.
Everyone is welcome to come along to one of our group meetings or events.
Bellringers
We have an enthusiastic company of bellringers who meet on Tuesdays 7:45 pm - 9:00 pm.
Choir
The choir practises on Thursdays from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm in the church vestry. If you are interested in joining the choir please use the form on the contact page or simply turn up. Young people are particularly welcome and will receive a free musical education.
Coffee and Concerts
Monthly concerts are given on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 12:30 pm in the main church preceeded by coffee and cake at 11:30 am.
Coffee Mornings
Meeting once a month, on the third Tuesday, to help raise money for a variety of projects both home and abroad.
Drama
This long established repertory theatre company produces two shows each year, as well as being involved in other Parish events. The performances are always a sell-out and include murder mysteries, comedy, intense drama and a ‘summer workshop’. The members are all highly committed, the sets well constructed and the performances slick and entertaining.
The group meets on Wednesdays in the vestries at 8.30pm.
New members are always very welcome.
Fellowship
This group meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm, it enjoys a varied programme of events with occasional outings to places of interest.
Flower arrangers
We are a small team of flower arrangers and make flower arrangements for the Church throughout the church year.
Sunday School
The Sunday School meets each Sunday, except during school holidays.
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
19th Enfield Scout Troop is attached to the church and the various divisions meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings. It is heavily subscribed in all sections. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venture Scouts all meet at separate times during the week in a dedicated building about half a mile from the church. There are a wide range of activities as well as highly enjoyable 'camps'.
The Troop joins the congregation regularly for certain Sunday Communion services such as Remembrance Day, Mothering Sunday, Harvest and at Christmas.
Other ways to get involved
We welcome any offers to join our other rotas including:
- Assisting with Sunday School,
- Reading in church,
- Cleaning,
- Flower arranging,
- Sidesperson duties,
- Serving coffee after the 10:00 am Sunday Communion service,
- Stapling the Parish Magazine together.
