Coffee and Concerts at St Mary Magdalene
There have been lunchtime concerts at St Mary Magdalene Church for many years.
The concert will be in Church and, on the second Wednesday of the month only, preceded by coffee / tea and cake costing £2.50, served at the back of the Church from 11:30am onwards so that people can spread out. As usual there will be no charge for coming to the concert but there will be a retiring collection. Do come along and support. The concerts give local people an opportunity to perform in a good venue and the audience have the pleasure of hearing live music of a high standard. In the past we have been entertained by singers, choirs, a jazz band and instrumentalists.
The concert begins at 12:30pm.
Everyone, whether a member of our Church or a passer-by, is welcome to come to the concerts. There is no charge for entry but there is a retiring collection to cover expenses.

Lunchtime Recitals at 12:30pm on the Second Wednesday of the month.

A recent concert performed by Jonathan Newby
I would warmly recommend the Wednesday concerts, held monthly in this beautiful late Victorian church. I can enjoy music, ranging from baroque to jazz, played by professional musicians or talented amateurs. I look forward to coffee, cake and a chat with friends in the vestry. Overall, a very nice way to spend a relaxing mid-morning break.
